As some of you may or may not know,
I tore my MCL.
Bummer, I know.
I have had to learn (against my will)
to slow down and let me tell you,
It is NOT easy.
Plus, I’ve had to wear a brace so I’ve literally been
moving at turtle speed.

Going from running, rollerblading, working three jobs
and everything in between to sitting on my couch
binge watching OITNB-
(which btw I really like and I don’t even watch TV!)
My life for the past few weeks
has literally gone from 100-0.

When my doctor told me that I had to stay off
my feet, it was like telling a bird not to fly.
Impossible.

So here are a few photos to show you
how little I’ve been doing lol

I have a lot of energy and like I’ve said,
It has not been easy.
But on the bright side,
I have an appointment tomorrow
at Mount Sinai’s Fracture Clinic
and I am so excited.

Catriona of Coco & Cowe reminded me
how important it was to listen to your body
and to take care of yourself
so that’s what I’ve been trying to do.

I usually push a little too hard and this time
I have to take this setback
as a reminder and lesson of life:
slow down and listen to my body.

So, like Catriona said here, http://bit.ly/1fs0NpC
Self Care is extremely important.
You cannot do your best if you’re not feeling your best.

Off to bed I go;
time to recharge
