Fitness: 5 Exercises for Sculpted Shoulders, Arms & Upper Back

Elementary school was not so fun towards my last years.
I was often made fun of (by two boys- whom I remember well) because I was muscular.
Growing up is hard as it is; throw in being ridiculed and called the most awful names… feels 1000 x harder.

I was always more muscular than the other girls; I did gymnastics, played sports and was told that my body was too muscular (I’m going to dive deeper on this subject in another post).

Fast-forward to today and I celebrate my body and all my muscles. I am strong, I am healthy and I love myself and all that I am capable of.

If there’s one thing I love working on, it’s my shoulders, arms and back so today I’m sharing a few exercises that will leave your arms and back toned and sculpted -because muscles are sexy!

5 Exercises for Sculpted Shoulders, Arms & Back

DUMBBELL OVERHEAD PRESS

BENT OVER DUMBBELL FLYS

BENT-OVER DUMBELL ROWS

FORWARD PLATE PRESS

SINGLE ARMED UPRIGHT ROW WITH PLATE

Do 10 reps of each exercise x 3! Use weights that challenges you but aren’t too heavy. If you’ve never worked your arms, back or shoulders these are great exercises to start incorporating into your workout routine. Go lighter to start and work on your form. From there, increase your weights.

This upper body circuit will tone you and make you strong because like I said, muscles are sexy!

So, are you sweating today?

p.s I was gifted this Diadora set from their new
Luxe collection that you can find at Sportchek; it is so comfortable, breathable and hugs the body in all the right places! I’ve already worn the tights 6 times 😀

Happy Monday!

KM
