I have never had allergies. Ever. Thank goodness. I have never even really known anyone either with crazy or seasonal allergies… until I met Jermaine.
The poor guy suffers from seasonal allergies and they’re bad. Like puffy eyed, runny nose, bad.

I’d heard about diffusers for so long; I’d walk into Sage Wellness every once in a while curious about them, but never really to take the plunge. Truthfully, I didn’t know enough about them nor did I think I needed one.

Luckily for me the universe gave me what I needed – an afternoon with Earth Luxe– a company that takes a holistic approach to health and wellness. I left an event they hosted with a goodie bag packed with some of their products including their diffuser, which I was totally not expecting.

I was soooo excited to open it and curious to finally find out what all the hype was about.
The second I put it on, I was hooked. Not even kidding. And what’s more is that Jermaine started falling in love, too.
Having a diffuser at home is awesome so I thought I’d share a few of its benefits below.

Wellness Wednesday: Why You Should Have a Diffuser At Home

Benefits of Having a Diffuser at Home

Adds moisture to the air
This is especially amazing during the winter months. Use essential oils like citrus, peppermint or eucalyptus. You add moisture as well as calming scents to your home. If you have a few of these, you can use one in your bedroom and unwind at the end of the day by diffusing an oil like peppermint or lavender that aid with falling asleep.

Clears the lungs and respiratory system
For anyone who has allergies, like Jermaine, this is amazing for you. Clearing out your lungs helps with the seasonal allergies and your breathing.

•Keep illnesses at away
I shared a post a while ago –here– where I shared a few things you can do to keep the cold and flue away. Diffusing oils also helps keep the cold and flu away. Essential oils also boost the immune system and are anti-microbial.

• Great way to start or unwind after a long day
I use mine at different hours of the day. When I wake up groggy and tired, I turn it on to set the tone for the day. I cannot even tell you the difference this makes to my day and to how I’m feeling.

•Better than some candles
Diffusers are a great alternative to candles; they use natural oils and are non-toxic. Many people don’t give candles much thought but a lot of them are toxic and diffusers are a great alternative.

The goal is to have one in all the bedrooms and main living space.
Do you use diffusers? / Have you ever wanted one?
Let me know what your favourite scents are.
